Univ International Courses. Salamanca

In this beautiful building International Courses of the University of Salamanca teaches Spanish classes for foreigners. Undoubtedly the most international enclosure of the city of Salamanca, with a rich history, with successive constructions and architectural modifications. Temple of St. Bartholomew of the Apostles, built during the repopulation that centuries later was reformed by Gil de Hontañón in the sixteenth century. In the 17th century it was Colegio Virgen de la Concepción de las Niñas Orphanas.


Between 1819 and 1829 it was the Colegio de la Magdalena, built to replace the one destroyed by the French in the area of Cerro de San Vicente in the War of Independence. By 1940 it was used as the College of St. Bartholomew.


Today, students from more than 100 different countries occupy their many modern classrooms.
