Balearic TV program 'Illencs a la carrera' films in Salamanca

The program "Illencs", broadcast by the Balearic autonomous television channel IB3, will be filming in the city from today until next Wednesday. Produced by Backstage Producciones and presented by Pau Pascual, the show will feature short documentaries for viewers, illustrating how students from the Balearic Islands live in Salamanca.

The program captures students' impressions of their new surroundings, their daily routines, the most common problems they face daily, their future expectations, and what they miss about their places of origin.

Illencs a la carrera takes the opportunity to showcase the places where the protagonists participating in the program reside and study. These include the most emblematic areas and monuments, the places they usually frequent, and their closest friendships. The Cathedrals, Casa Lis, the Faculty of Philology, and the Plaza Mayor and Plaza Anaya will be part of the filming. In interviews that resemble informal conversations, presenter Pau Pascual, also an actor and screenwriter, interacts with the protagonists to discover how they are managing their university studies, how they spend their free time, and what relationship they establish with the new city that welcomes them.

Similarly, it reviews everything they leave behind in their towns and cities in the Islands: what things they long for, how often they return, what festivals and products they miss, and what their plans are for their professional future.

Illencs a la carrera plans to broadcast 13 episodes filmed in different cities/universities across the country.

The program has received cooperation from the Salamanca City Council, through the Salamanca Film Commission, regarding permits.
