501st Legion (2019)
The 501st Legion is a Star Wars fan association founded in 1997 in the U.S. by Albin Jonhson and Tom Crews to accurately recreate characters from the saga created by George Lucas. Over time, they began dedicating their events to charitable causes, as well as making visits to hospitals, generally focused on children. Currently, there are over 13,500 members worldwide. They arrived in Spain in 2004, and since then, the now more than 700 volunteers, carry out charitable events and parades throughout the country.
Their costumes, faithful replicas of the attire seen in the Star Wars films, represent all the characters from "the dark side" of the saga, the "bad guys," as their motto states: "Bad Guys Doing Good."
The filming aimed to promote the parade held in Salamanca on October 5th, in which over 800 members of the 501st Legion Spanish Garrison participated.
