ANTONIO LORENZO "EL GALLO" AND HIS COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS

Number 27 of this collection is dedicated to the footwear merchant Antonio Lorenzo Bahía (1880-1952), nicknamed “el Gallo” (the Rooster). However, the period of time covered by its lines exceeds the protagonist's own life, extending from his ancestors to the present day. This extensive activity allows us to consider the Lorenzo family as a true Salamancan family saga dedicated to the footwear industry. Thanks to this publication, we discover that behind one of Salamanca's best-known active establishments, Calzados Antonio, an interesting commercial story unfolds. It is enough to peek into the following pages, as if it were a shop window, for its history to be revealed to us.

Available for sale at the Museum of Commerce, the Plaza Mayor Tourist Office shop, and some bookstores, at a price of 2.5 euros.
