HISTORY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY

This activity engagingly presents the Museum's specific content. Through reading dialogues and dressing in period costumes, schoolchildren become the protagonists of the visit.

Objectives

  1. To get acquainted with the history of Commerce and Industry in Salamanca and its province.
  2. To appreciate Salamanca's historical sites of commerce and industry as significant heritage worthy of being known and preserved.
  3. To connect the building housing the Museum with the city's water supply and raise students' awareness about the need to reduce water consumption.
  4. To develop teamwork and competitive spirit through scavenger hunt challenges.

SOUNDS OF YESTERYEAR

Through reading dialogues, dressing in period costumes, and performing a radio play scene, schoolchildren become an active part of this visit dedicated to the world of radio.

Objectives
• To learn about the origin and evolution of radio.
• To get acquainted with the history of radio, specifically in Salamanca.
• To work in teams to bring a radio play scene to life.
• To learn about the history of the building housing the Museum of Commerce.

FROM YOUR GRANDPARENTS TO OUR DAYS

Designed for the first two years of Primary Education, the museum presents a new way to explore it through the MECATRIX game. The activity will conclude with a walk through the museum, reinforcing the learned content.

Objectives
• To learn about relevant aspects of commerce such as measurements, packaging, money, and notable products like cod, chocolate, or candies.
• To reflect on some of the great 20th-century inventions that have changed and facilitated our daily lives, such as radio, electricity, photography, etc.
• To promote values in children related to environmental respect and care – recycling, proper use of water and energy.
• To enjoy and learn about our city and its history.
